Basque Country-Style Spaghetti Recipe
1/2 lb. spaghetti (thin)
20 med. sized shrimp, de-veined & peeled
1/2 tsp. black pepper
4 tbsps. Butter
1/4 cup of grated fresh Parmesan
4 tbsps. olive oil
4 big chopped cloves of garlic
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsps. Minced parsley (fresh)
Inside a big saucepan, boil 3 qts. of water. Add in spaghetti then cook them until al dente (8-10 mins.).
In a big skillet, heat the olive oil and butter on medium flame then add in garlic sauteing until it turns golden and then take out the pieces of garlic.
Add in pepper, 2 tbsps. minced parsley, salt and shrimp to the skillet then continue cooking for 1-3 mins. or just until the shrimps turn pinkish. Take the saucepan out of the heat.
Spaghetti should be drained after it has cooked and then added to the saucepan. Sprinkle in grated parmesan then place them in warm serving bowls and finished with a tablespoon of parsley.
Serve while still hot.
