Popeye Noodles Recipe
2 cups of egg noodles
1 tbsp. butter, unsalted
10 – 12 ozs. Chopped fresh spinach
2 tbsps. Onion, chopped
2 cups of whole milk
1/4 tsp. salt or more, for seasoning
A dash of nutmeg
Freshly ground black pepper
On a big saucepan, heat together butter, salt, noodles and milk then cook on low flame, stirring often until noodles become soft & milk is about to be absorbed completely by egg noodles. Noodles must have a creamy and soft texture.
On a skillet or pan, melt the butter on medium flame and saute the onions until soft. Add in spinach then continue to cook until leaves have wilted.
Add spinach mixture into your creamy noodles and heat everything thoroughly then finish with a sprinkle of the nutmeg and pepper
