Creamy Bacon Pasta Recipe
16 ozs. Penne pasta, cooked & drained
12-15 pcs. of sliced bacon
2 cups of heavy cream
1/2 cup of fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup of green onions, sliced
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 cup of Parmesan, grated
1/2 tsp. of pepper
In a skillet, cook the bacon just until it turns crisp then remove it out of the pan then drain the bacon on the paper towels then crumble into bits.
Set aside at least 2 tbsps. of the drippings from the bacon & in the same pan, saute garlic & mushrooms until they are softened.
To the same pan add in the cooked penne, 2 cups of cream, pepper & the cup of grated cheese then continue simmering on medium-low flame all the while stirring until the sauce becomes thick.
Lastly add in the green onions and bacon bits and blend well. Serve immediately.
Makes 4-6 servings
