Fajita Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
1/2 (4.5 oz.) pkg. of crushed taco shells
1 1/2 lbs. of beef (ground)
1 (1.4 oz.) envelope of fajita seasoning mix
16 oz. cooked & drained elbow macaroni
2 (15.5 oz.) jars of salsa con queso
1/2 cup green onions, sliced & divided
Inside a big skillet, cook and brown the beef just until beef crumbles and drain off the drippings.
Add to the beef the cooked macaroni, 1/4 cup of green onions, the 2 jars of salsa and the fajita mix.
Grease well a 13×9-inch dish for baking.
In the dish add the beefy mixture then layer the crushed shells of taco on the top. Bake in the oven for about 30 mins at around 350′ F or just until the dish has warmed all over.
Finish with a sprinkling of the remainder of the onions.
