Garlic Spaghetti Recipe
8 ozs. of spaghetti
1 1/2 cups of florets of broccoli
1/3 cup of garlic oil
Freshly ground pepper
1 tbsp. of garlic oil
1/2 tsp.of salt
1 cup of carrots, sliced
Parmesan cheese, shredded finely
Inside a Dutch oven or big kettle bring to a boil around 4 qts. of water and add in salt and 1 tsp. of the garlic oil. Put in spaghetti noodles then make sure to cook as per instructions from its package.
Onto a saucepan, blanch carrots with a cover using a little amount of the boiling water for around 5 mins. Next, add in the florets of broccoli & cook it for about 3 mins. more then drain all the vegetables well.
On another medium-sized saucepan pour in 1/3 cup of garlic oil & heat it on low flame. Add in vegetables (broccoli & carrots) to oil and make sure to evenly coat all of it with garlic oil.
Drain pasta then return them to your Dutch oven or kettle and add in vegetable mix on the pasta & combine them all together. Ladle out pasta to plates then finish with a sprinkling of pepper and cheese on each plate.
