Macaroni Pie Recipe
32 ozs. of elbow macaroni
3 cups of milk
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. of salt
4 cups of Cheddar cheese, shredded
Oven should be preheated to around 350′ F. Bring water to a boil inside a big pot that has been salted lightly. Add in the macaroni then cook if for about 8-10 mins. or just until it is cooked through but still firm and drain it well.
In a bowl, beat the milk and eggs together. Put in half of macaroni that has been cooked inside a 9×13-inch dish for baking and place a layer of 2 cups Cheddar on top.
Next, add in the remainder of the macaroni but leave a small space on top then cover it with the other half of the Cheddar.
Spread the egg and milk mixture on top then sprinkle it with the salt. Then, bake inside the oven for 1 hour but you can also check if it has cooked when you insert a knife into it and it comes out clean.
