Mom’s Baked Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
1 (8 oz.) box of macaroni
2 tbsps. of butter
16 ozs. of sour cream
2 lightly beaten eggs
Salt & pepper
2 lbs. of cheese, shredded
Macaroni should be cooked as per directions on its box until it is al dente and drain it well. Add in the sour cream, egg and butter (be sure to add the eggs after the sour cream). Then season with some pepper and salt.
Add about 2/3’s of cheese to the macaroni mix then pour this in a greased 9×13-inch dish for baking.
Layer what’s left of the cheese on the top and bake in the oven for about 20-30 mins. at around 350′ F until the cheese is browned.
You can actually cover it with some foil for the 1st 20 mins. of baking then take off the cover and cook it until the cheese is browned.
