Pasta with Sage Sauce Recipe
1 (8 oz.) pkg. pasta
1/2 cup of light cream
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 tsp. sage
1 small bunch of broccoli, use the florets for this recipe
3/4 cup of Parmesan, grated
Freshly ground pepper
In a saucepan, heat the cream together with the sage on low flame and wait for the liquid to be reduced slightly (5 mins.).
Next, add in butter and when it has melted already then add in the florets of broccoli. Then cook it covered.
In the meantime, pasta should be cooked through but still firm. Drain it well and then add in the sauce and make sure to incorporate the sauce into the pasta.
Sprinkle half a cup of the parmesan then season with some pepper. Have extra parmesan on hand.
