Penne from Heaven Recipe
1 lb. dried penne
1 cup of ricotta cheese
1 (28 oz.) can of tomatoes, crushed
10 ozs. Sliced thinly white mushrooms
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
2 tsps. salt
Pepper for seasoning
2 cups or (8 ozs.) fontina cheese, grated
Oven should be preheated to around 450′ F. Slightly oil a 13×9-inch casserole and set it aside. Get an 8-qt. pot and fill it about 2/3’s full of water then bring it to boiling point on high flame. Add in penne then cook until al dente.
On a bowl, mix together fontina, mushrooms, cream, tomatoes, pepper and salt. Pasta should be drained well then mix it well with your tomato-cheese mixture. Pour mixture onto the dish using a spatula then layer out ricotta on top.
Bake in the oven’s center rack for about 15 mins. or just until sauce bubbles. Take it out of your oven then allow to cool first prior to plating it.
You can serve it together with some salad greens and fresh vegetables that have been steamed.
