Pizza Macaroni Recipe
1 small pkg. Creamettes macaroni
1 big can of Hunt’s tomato sauce with tomato bits
1 (8 oz.) can of pizza sauce
1 lb. ground beef
1 small can of mushroom bits, drain well
1/2 tsp. oregano
8 ozs. Grated mozzarella cheese
1 chopped onion
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 sliced green bell pepper
1 small pkg. of thinly sliced pepperoni
Pepper & salt to season
In a skillet cook the onions and meat until meat is browned and drain drippings off. Macaroni should be cooked in a pot of boiling water for 5 mins. just until it is slightly tender. Make sure to not overcook it and don’t rinse it as well.
In a bowl, combine tomato sauce, meaty mixture & macaroni and after mixing it well place the mixture in a baking pan that measures around 9×13 inches.
Season the top well. Then evenly spread out pizza sauce on the top and cover it with grated cheese and slices of pepperoni, mushrooms & green peppers.
Bake in the oven for about 25 mins. at around 350′ F. Dish can be prepared ahead by 1 day and refrigerated but it should be baked an additional 5 mins.
