Sour Cream Noodle Bake Recipe
12 ozs. wide noodles
3 (8 oz.) cans of tomato sauce
1 1/2 – 2 lbs. ground beef
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 cup of Cheddar, shredded
For the Cheese Mix:
1 cup Cheddar, shredded
1 cup of sour cream
1/2 cup of olives (stuffed), sliced
1 cup of cottage cheese
On a saucepan, cook and brown the beef then drain off the fat. Add in sugar, sauce & the onion soup mix then cook it simmering for about 15 mins. In the meantime, noodles should be cooked as per instructions from its package and drained well.
On a glass bowl, mix together the ingredients for the Cheese Mix and set it aside. Inside a shallow casserole, assemble the lasagna beginning with the meaty sauce, followed by noodles & the Cheese mix.
After, top it with about 1/4 of the cup of Cheddar then bake in the oven for about 25-30 mins. at around 350′ F just until the dish bubbles up. Serve together with some crusty bread and salad greens.
