Three Cheese Chicken Bake Recipe
8 ozs. Cooked & drained lasagna noodles
2 cups chicken, cooked & diced
3 tbsps. Margarine or butter
1 can of soup (cream of chicken)
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup of milk
2 cups American cheese, shredded
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
16 ozs. Cottage cheese
1 (6 oz.) can of mushrooms, sliced & drained
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp. basil
On a skillet, saute the onions & green peppers in the butter until they are tender. Add in milk, basil, mushrooms and the soup and make sure that the mixture is heated thoroughly.
Layer half of noodles inside a 9×13-inch pan and top it with half the following: sauce, cottage cheese, American cheese & parmesan. Place a 2nd layer of lasagna noodles, sauce, cottage cheese & chicken then bake in the oven for about 1 hour at around 350′ F.
Afterwards, finish with a topping of remainder of Parmesan and American cheeses then bake it for another 3 mins. or just until the cheese at the top is melted. Let it cool for 15 mins. prior to serving.
